LG confirms creative but media account hangs in the air

Asia Pacific - Electronics giant LG said it has finalised its agency roster, appointing Bartle, Bogle, Hegarty to its creative and MindShare to manage media, but MindShare is denying its appointment.

In two separate statements on the LG website, LG said it had hired BBH to manage its global creative account, MindShare to manage the media buying and planning portion and Publicis Modem, a division of the Publicis-owned Digitas, to manage the online component.

A BBH Singapore spokesperson confirmed the news, adding that its Singapore and China office will work with the Korean electronics maker.

But despite a statement on the LG site confirming MindShare's appointment, a local MindShare spokesperson said the statement was wrong.

LG could not be contacted to clarify the media account.
