Singapore - International Herald Tribune (IHT) and Reuters will birth a daily business news website and the former will replace its print business section with ‘Business with Reuters'.
The co-branding will begin on 7 January next year. The business sections of the IHT website and print edition will be edited in collaboration with Reuters editors and be featured too on the Reuters website and financial terminals.
IHT editors will retain full editorial responsibility over the content of the ‘Business with Reuters' section. As the agreement is non-exclusive, IHT can use content from other third-party news providers. Reuters editors will therefore liaise daily with IHT business editors to assist news planning for print.
This collaboration offers marketers and advertisers joint marketing and sponsorship opportunities while leveraging on both partners' audiences and publishing platforms for print and online.
The IHT will cease publication of ‘Marketplace by Bloomberg' and ‘Business Asia by Bloomberg' by year-end.
Marketing reported on IHT's content partnership with Asia Sentinel on 5 December.
