SIA targets the really young
Published: Dec 10, 2007 Singapore - Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) have partnered and enabled Cartoon Network cartoons and merchandise to be available inflight for young travellers. With the exception of Singapore to Kuala Lumpur flights and vice versa, Cartoon Network amenities will be available to children on all SIA flights and include a range of branded toys, fun packs and cartoon programmes. To launch the partnership with SIA and Cartoon Network, Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10 characters were at Changi Airport Terminal 2 giving away toys. "As a true entertainment super-brand, Cartoon Network continually looks at opportunities to integrate the Network into the lives of its young audience, and offer multiple touch points for its discerning viewers to experience the brand beyond the confines of the television set," Sunny Saha, senior vice president, regional advertising sales and marketing, Turner Entertainment Networks Asia, said. In line with the children's theme, SIA will also be offering meals served in lunchboxes during long-haul flights as well as special children's menus, and new kid-sized headphones.
