Singapore - Silkair held a creative briefing on 3 December which involved 12 agencies including Ogilvy and Mather (O&M), its incumbent for the past six years.
Five agencies will be selected for the next round of pitch with O&M automatically entering the pit.
An airline spokesperson said the pitch is a regular exercise, in line and compliant to its corporate governance practices and has nothing to do with its relationship with O&M. There were even more agencies interested in the business but Silkair capped the number of participants to 12.
The shortlist decision will be made possibly in mid-December with the awarding of the account to be made within the next three months.
