UM promotes Morgan, names APAC head

Singapore - Universal McCann (UM) President APAC David Morgan is now global network chief client officer and will relocate to London. Taking his place in Singapore is UM Australia's CEO Jeff Cressall, his colleague, Henry Tajer's will now be MD for UM Australia.

UM's global CEO Nick Brien said Cressall has built close relations with the agency's clients, and had also distinguished himself as one of the network's most admired agency leaders. With a incomparable creative and business track record, he has led the Australia agency to a strong financial position.

With UM since 2004, Cressall was hired to lead the Australian Federal Government media account and was appointed CEO in 2005. Prior to which, he clocked time with DDB, George Patterson's and Masius and at DMB&B, he was national media director and managing director of its Melbourne office. He has also experience in the client side of media at News Limited and Business Review Weekly.

Tajer will be reporting to Cressall, who will still retain his position as Chairman of UM Australia alongside his new role.

Tajer joined UM in October 2005 as GM, investment, and a year later was promoted to national GM. He has 15 years of Australian media industry experience, leading media communications across key categories including motoring, finance, FMCG, government, pharmaceutical, retail, media and entertainment.

UM Australia was Cannes Media Agency of the Year 2006 - 2007 and claims it is the "only agency worldwide to have won the Cannes Media Grand Prix twice".
