Star Group has nabbed Rita Mui, GM for sales & marketing from MyClick Media, for a newly created role as VP of advertising sales for Greater China. As part of the new role Mui will oversee operations in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Macau and Taiwan.
Based in Hong Kong, she will report to Karen Davidson, senior VP of advertising sales & integrated marketing for the Star Group. Mui's previous roles include working for companies such as MTV Networks Asia, Time Asia, ACIG Publishing and The Asian Sources Media Group.
Who Edward Hanapole

Following on from Rita Mui's appointment Star nabbed Edward Hanapole, VP global technology for News Corporation, for another newly created position as chief information officer. Based in Hong Kong. Hanapole will oversee the information technology and new media services, as well as business technology functions, he reports to Laureen Ong, COO of STAR.
At News Corp, Hanopole was charged to increase content and technology sharing among the company's various online properties. Prior to this, he was lead partner of IBM global business services for IBM's Global Digital Media group. He also had experience as chief information officer of New York Times Digital, a division of The New York Times Company.
Who Wang Daqing

As ECD of OgilvyOne Beijing, Wang Daqing is tasked with overseeing the creative output of the Beijing office. Previously with RMG China, Wang completed his MA in film at the London Film School and went on to make such hits as Chinatown's Butcher.
Wang's appointment is part of three senior appointments at the agency. Rianne Kow has been hired as director of emerging platforms and e-business Katherine Huang rejoining the agency as business director at OgilvyOne Beijing. The appointments are effective immediately.

Agenda Asia has appointed Rudi Leung as director of communication planning, a new role for the agency, to help drive strategic and channel planning for clients including Johnson & Johnson. Leung reports to Mike Leung, MD for Agenda Hong Kong.
"With Rudi's expertise and experience, we will continue to bring not just new but also high-value services to our clients because there is so much we could do in the interactive world," Leung said. Prior to Agenda, Leung was VP for Carat Hong Kong. His previous roles include being a creative ambassador for Yahoo! HK and creative director for TBWA\ Tequila.
Who Ruth Lee
To DDB Hong Kong

Ruth Lee, national executive creative director at Leo Burnett, takes the reigns from Christine Pong, who resigned as group creative chief for DDB Hong Kong.
She will be responsible for overseeing and managing the creative department and all the work being created and produced for DDB's clients in Hong Kong.
Lee is no stranger to DDB having created campaigns such as Mrs Wong for Parkn'Shop and other accounts including MTR and McDonald's. She begins work at DDB on 2 January 2008. Richard Thomas, President and CEO of DDB in Hong Kong said Lee's experience in China would be an asset. "She will be a real asset to our Hong Kong agency at a time when the communications industry is evolving and redefining itself in Greater China."
