Singapore - Johnnie Walker is expected to launch a digital mobile application to provide consumers with nightlife information and a responsible drinking function to get partygoers home safely.
With a media preview event scheduled for the 28 November 2007, sources close to the technology - which has been named Jennie - were not willing to elaborate further on the application's functions however it is understood the product will launch in time for the festive period.
Jennie follows shortly after another responsible drinking initiative undertaken by Diageo this year - less than a month ago the brand launched its Diageo Guardian Angel campaign which encouraged clubbers not to drink and drive. The campaign featured TV and radio artiste Jamie Yeo and MTV personality Utt as Diageo Guardian Angels.
