Singapore - Marketing director for AETN All Asia Networks Connie Lai will shortly leave the company and media industry to take up a global marketing role at an undisclosed company.

In her new role, Lai will head up the Singapore office and said joining the new company was an excellent opportunity in an international marketing role. She will start in December and reports directly to the CEO. A replacement for her is currently being sought after.

Lai joined AETN All Asia Networks in June 2007, shortly after the company was birthed from a JV between A&E Television Networks and Astro All Asia Networks. Since then the JV company has gone from no markets to four, covering Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand.

Lai said it was thrilling to have worked with a team that accomplished so much for the TV channels under the AETN umbrella in terms of awareness and reputation, in such a short space of time.

In April the company launched The History Channel and Crime & Investigation Network across the region as well as announcing plans to roll out The Biography Channel regionally, deploying the brands and programming via VOD, mobile, broadband and HD, as reported by Marketing.
