Singapore - Microsoft Xbox's Viva Pinata, has partnered Swensen's to market the family game through a dedicated menu food, in store communications and giving patrons the option to try out the game in the restaurant.
"There is a perception in the market that the Xbox 360 is only for 'hardcore' gamers when in fact it is great fun for everyone in the family. We wanted to showcase titles like Viva Pinata Party Animals that broaden the appeal of the Xbox 360 and so we approached Swensen's. They created a menu around the characters and will help us showcase the gameplay by allowing Xbox 360 kiosks in their high traffic restaurants," Alan Chou, regional marketing manager SEA, Xbox and PC Games said.
On top of the promotional menu, 10 Swensen's outlets will feature a temporary corner modified into a game station where patrons may test the games and also get a chance to win weekly prizes. The campaign period is from 13 November 2007 to 2 January 2008.
From 31 October to 13 November the game will hit the local terrestrial TV airways through a 3D animated series on MediaCorp's Kids Central.
