First job ever?

Finding jobs to earn beer and travel money saw me work on a fish farm, the Ipswich Docks shoveling fertiliser and working the bars at Silverstone.

First job in advertising?

Started in DM at Wunderman in London working on Novell.

Best job?

This one - it's been a challenge but with support from the likes of Charlie Blower, I take pride in how we've turned Euro RSCG in Singapore into the hot shop it is now.

Perks of your current job?

Mostly it's the travel and opportunity to meet and work with some fantastic people. The diversity is a real kick!

Worst job?

Apart from the fish farm stint, every job had its good points, somewhere.

Advertising professionals you admire?

Simon Bolton was a real mentor (CEO FCB San Francisco), and Rooney Carruthers inspired me early on in my career while with FCB.

Best career advice you've been given?

George Gallate approached me to work on Intel and run an integrated account across Europe and then Asia - it was the best move I could have made.

Why did you choose a career in advertising?

I get a real kick out of it and as I am an adventure and travel junky the diversity appeals.

If you weren't in advertising what would you be?

Home a lot more or watching every Arsenal game I could.

How do you wind down?

I'm a dad of a toddler and new baby; those words don't exist in my vocabulary.
