Singapore - Mediaedge:cia (MEC) has hired managing partner of Performance, MindShare's specialist content and sponsorship division, Mike Jackson to the vacant role of MD for MEC Access Asia Pacific from January 2008.
The Singapore-based role will see Jackson responsible for improving integration of MEC Access services into regional and local clients' communications plans. As reported by Marketing, MEC combined the resources of its sport, entertainment and cause marketing businesses and staff to form a new specialist division, MEC Access.
"There is already a great client base across the region with considerable experience in the area of content creation and activation. With my colleagues in Europe and North America we now have a truly integrated global content offer that will provide consistent and independent solutions within the broader MEC proposition," Jackson said.
Paul Sng, who recently joined MEC as senior regional account manager from ESPN will support Jackson in his regional role. At the time of the launch of MEC Access, global CEO for MEC, Charles Courtier said in "bringing all of our assets and expertise around the world under one brand, we enforce our promise and leverage our resources to deliver communications solutions across all channels, globally".
