PCCW extends interactive services

Hong Kong - PCCW will launch a 24-hour Chinese news channel through its now TV network, giving viewers the chance interact and vote on issues via remote control.

now News, which kicks off from tomorrow (24 October), will be run by the now Business News Channel tea. The channel will include a now Good Morning program, China Affairs, Medicine Online, Care About Pets programs.

Dominic Leung, PCCW managing director of television & content, said by leveraging PCCW's quadruple-play capability, viewers will be able to access now News via mobile phones, online and on the PCCW eye multimedia service.

"now BNC has consistently drawn high viewership and is very popular with the audience for its professional analyses. I am confident that now News, which is run by the same group of professionals, will satisfy the demand for real-time, accurate and in-depth news reporting," he said.
