Singapore - Bloomberg Television will be added to the mobile TV platform TV2GO's free-trial offering as of November 2007.
Supported only by selected mobile phones with built-in digital TV tuners and some PCs, laptops and handhelds, the service currently feeds live channels from CNBC Asia Pacific, ESPN STAR Sports and WOW! The platform also allows for interactivity with services as real time voting, polling, content purchase and access to dedicated microsites and this gives marketers another option for targeted communications.
"We will closely work together to add compelling and exciting interactive TV services to further enhance the Mobile TV viewing experience." Giulio Dorrucci, TV2GOCEO said.
Jimmy Kim, head of network development and new media, Bloomberg Television APAC, said, "This launch represents yet another milestone in the development of new media platforms in Singapore. We look forward to reaching out to even more viewers of Bloomberg Television on TV2GO's platform, as mobile device delivery is perfectly suited to the needs of our viewers for accurate up-to-the-minute business and financial news and information."
TV2GO is a real time live broadcast service with a station located at Bukit Timah Hill. This makes it different from most mobile video services provided currently which are streamed through 3G or GPRS.
