H&K Tees off with HSBC

Singapore - Hill and Knowlton (H&K) has won HSBC's golf initiative pitch and will handle the bank's communications in 2008 which include the HSBC Champions in Shanghai and HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore.

It was first appointed in London and Shanghai in 2006 to assist with publicity surrounding HSBC Champions since its inauguration and has now been appointed on a retainer basis for golf only.

"We needed a partner that can deliver impact to its golf sponsorship programmes locally and globally. The H&K team demonstrated the right balance of specialised editorial strength and local reach to work effectively alongside our other partners and local teams." HSBC's head of sports sponsorship and marketing Giles Morgan, said.

Vivian Lines, H&K president and COO APAC added HSBC will be focusing on golf sponsorship activities in Asia for 2008,"While most activity will take place in Asia, we will, of course also be seeking to drive publicity on a global platform for HSBC as Champions of Golf Worldwide."
