Singapore - To market its four verticals ST701 Jobs, ST701 Cars, ST701 Property and ST701 Shops, SPH's e-marketplace and online equivalent of Cats Classified has placed Coleen Francisca for a week in a glass house at Raffles Place Park.
The guerilla campaign will see her going online to buy and sell things on the portal, take on radio interviews, and even pole-dancing lessons, and demonstrate that with ST701, a functional life indoors is possible. Launched last year in March as a job portal, it recently expanded as it launched three other new sections for cars, property and shops.
Elsie Chua, SVP of CATS Classified, marketing, said, "Over the next seven days, the public will be able to see how Colleen, who's an expert with the website, buy and sell everything she needs to meet her daily needs without leaving home. In reality, not many people will actually be confined at home for an entire week like Colleen. But what this exercise goes to show is that it is possible for anyone to use ST701 to get what they want."
A highlight in the stay will include the search for a date for Francisca, Miss Singapore World 06/07. Applicants will have to email her and undergo tests on 20 October in order for her to bring him home to meet her Dad when the campaign ends on 23 October.
