Staging Connections ties up Asian ownership

Hong Kong - Events group Staging Connections has consolidated ownership of its Asia Pacific partners, taking full ownership of its previously part-owned companies in Hong Hong, China, Singapore and Malaysia at a cost of more than HK$66 million.

The acquisition will see the Sydney-based Staging Connections acquire the remaining 49% of ETG Staging Connections in China and Hong Kong as well as the remaining 30% of Singaporean company Techmex Staging Connections. 

Staging Connections has also acquired 100% of Techmex Event Production China.

Michael Gardner, Staging Connections chief executive, said the company's full ownership of businesses in China and South East Asia is central to its growth strategy.

He said it was the company's "intention" to operate all companies with existing management and staff.

Also the company has taken ownership of Point of View Design for HK$26 million.  Point of View Design  has offices scattered around SE Asia and Dubai.
