Singapore - ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) will today launch the US version of SportsCenter in SE Asian markets as well as Hong Kong and China - the program is expected to air weekdays at 2pm on ESPN although schedules are subject to change.
"SportsCenter is world-renowned for its most unique and singular style of covering sports and for over three decades now, SportsCenter has been an institution for American Sports fans, and now with the US edition available in Asia, fans can catch their favourite American sports updates, every weekday afternoon," Manu Sawhney, MD of ESS said in a statement.
This version of SportsCenter is the sixth edition of the franchise to be launched in Asia by ESS with Asian, Indian, Malaysian as well as Cantonese and Mandarin versions of SportsCenter broadcast across the region. SportsCenter is one of the highest rated programs on American television and has had over 30,000 unique episodes aired so far.
