Energizer redeems itself with race this year
Malaysia - The Energizer Night Race last Saturday (21 April) created a river of lights with the participation of 5,000 runners this year at the Sepang international Circuit.
Major sponsors like Fitness First Malaysia have also praised Energizer's efforts.
"This is the second time we've come in as sponsors and this year it was much more organised," Beatrice Lee, marketing manager of Fitness First Malaysia, said.
"Fitness First has done many sports sponsorships over the years and so far this has been one of the best ones.
"We have achieved our goals with the support of the Energizer brand and experienced good brand exposure and ROI," added Lee, who also participated in the race.
Energizer targeted a total of RM356,000 in charity funds for 20 Kiwanis Centres, collected from registrations, pledges from business partners, bids during race day and Energizer product sales from March until May."Since last year's race, we have worked hard over the past year to ensure a better race experience for all," Mike Foong, managing director of Energizer Malaysia, said.
Energizer received bad publicity and criticism last year for its race, which was poorly organised and lacked proper security, health measures and instructions.________________________________________________________________________________________
