Hong Kong – Pacific Century Premium Developments, Cathay Pacific and Luxottica Retail Hong Kong were the big winners at the 2007 HKMA/TVB Awards for Marketing Excellence.
The annual awards ceremony, hosted by the Hong Kong Management Association and sponsored by Television Broadcast Limited, saw Pacific Century Premium Developments take out the top gong for its campaign for the Bel-Air No. 8 New Landmark in Island South campaign.
The campaign, created by Grey Worldwide, resulted in some 500 units being sold in just three weeks at premium to secondary market prices, generating revenue of more than HK$8.8 billion.
Cathay Pacific was awarded silver for its nine-month long campaign Moving Forward with Hong Kong for 60 Years, created by McCann Erickson Hong Kong.
Other winners from last night's awards ceremony included Luxottica Retail, which picked up a bronze award as well as McDonald's, Pizza Hut and Proctor & Gamble Hong Kong, which all picked up certificates of excellence.
Individual winners from the night included included Lewis Soo, manager residential marketing at CLP Power, who picked up the coveted CIM Marketer of the Year.
Susanna Lau, general manager Hong Thai Travel, Vivian Lee, marketing director at Ocean Park, Gilman Too, marketing director Luxottica Retail and Alan Wong, director of marketing at DHL, all picked up the Distinguished Marketer Awards.
Outstanding Young Marketing Professionals included McDonald's assistant marketing manager Canace Lin, along with Joseph Lau, sales manager residential at CLP Power, Balwin Yeung, senior marketing manager at Hong Thai Travel, Wilson Chung, senior marketing manager at Pacific Century Developments, Jamie Chan, director certified naturopathic doctor at Energy Source and Canny Leung, executive director BMA Marketing & Advertising.
In its 22 year, HKMA chairman David K P Li, said the awards continue to highlight best practice in Hong Marketing industry.
