National - Lowe China has appointed Mike Foster, regional planning director at Leo Burnett Singapore, as head of planning based in Shanghai.

In his newly created position, Foster will oversee strategic planning for Lowe's China operations including Hong Kong. He reports to Kitty Lun, chairman and CEO for Lowe China.

"Recently, I've observed a new, very much resurgent Lowe and figured if there was ever a time to get on the ground floor of something exciting, now is that time. I'm certainly not disappointed, the standard of thinking is powerful and the ability to translate this into creative which really resonates is terrific," Foster said.

Foster was previously based in Singapore as well as Manila where he had experience in the FMCG and retail sectors for clients such as P&G and McDonalds as regional account director and strategic planner.

"Mike will not only head up our planning team in China, but will also be part of our strong global strategic planning community to participate in part of our effort to provide clients with high value ideas,"Lun said.
