Dentsu brings in James Keng Lim
Former executive creative director at Nerf, James Keng Lim (pictured), has joined Dentsu Singapore as director of integrated communications and digital creative director. Lim will be reporting to CEO Mr. Anthony Kang. He will be tasked with growing the agency’s business by assimilating multi-disciplinary communications into result oriented solutions. He will also be helming the agency’s digital creative output. Lim is an acclaimed for his award wins in various creative disciplines in his past roles at like Ogilvy, BBDO, Batey, Publicis and Patroids.
Digital Realty Trust appoints senior vice president
Digital Realty Trust, Inc. , announced that Kris Kumar has been appointed to senior vice president role. Kumar's new title is senior vice president and regional head, Asia Pacific. Kumar will be based in Singapore and will be responsible for overseeing the company's corporate activities in Asia and the Pacific Rim.Kumar will also be developing relationships with partners and new customers in the region, identifying strategic investment opportunities in new and existing markets across Asia Pacific, and coordinating operations. Kumar has been with the company since May 2010 and has 28 years of prior experience in the IT/data centre infrastructure, property and marine industries.
Lawrence Yeow takes on retail director role
Lawrence Yeow has been appointed as regional retail director of GfK Asia with effect from 1 March, 2012. Yeow will be based in Singapore and will report Stanley Kee, managing director of GfK Southeast Asia. Yeow will be responsible for the strategic roadmap and recruitment of panel retailers across Asia Pacific. He is a veteran in the retail industry with specialises in skills and knowledge garnered from over 20 years' of experience. Prior to joining GfK Asia, Yeow was the Operations Director at Watson's Personal Care Store in Singapore. He was also previously in British Petroleum, and United Overseas Bank.
St James's Ing joins The Lo & Behold Group
The Lo & Behold Group has appointed Andrew Ing to the role of chief operating officer, bringing with him 20 years of industry experience in marketing, events, operations and management. In his role, Ing will directly oversee group operations and is responsible for better integrating outlet operations with the marketing, human resources and finance departments. Additionally, he will help define group operating policies and procedures.
One hits Indonesia
Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia has expanded the distribution of its first Asian general entertainment network, One, in Indonesia. It has launched on the leading pay-TV platform Indovision. ONE is powered by prime and current South Korean entertainment. ONE will air its programs in original Korean audio with Bahasa Indonesia and English subtitling. ONE HD was the top rated HD channel on Astro in Malaysia for 2011 while in Singapore, ONE clocked the longest viewing duration per viewer each day amongst the professional working class.
