Power 98FM shifts focus to newer targets
Singapore - Radio powerhouse Power 98FM is set for a revamp on its 18th anniversary and has launched an all new power 98 PM today targeting advertisers from the automobile, banks and real estate industries.
Power 98FM told Marketing that the station is on the look out for newer advertisers and speaking to a larger variety of clients.
The station aims for a different target audience with majority being a well-heeled audience professionals, managers, executives and businessmen aged 20-40.
The revamp will also see a new brand identity, logo and tagline "Hear the Difference". The station will also have new programmes and lifestyle segments with a more "grown up" sound for both the music and the on-air line-up that will appeal to a discerning audience.
As part of the holistic revamp, other features include a brand new website design and a new mobile app, launching 16 April 2012.
Leading the revamp is Shareen Wong (pictured), programming consultant at Power 98FM with over 12 years of radio experience who told Marketing that the station aims to reach out to more working adults.
"Power 98FM believes in being different and thinking different, and aims to be an agent of change and innovation in the radio industry in Singapore."
