AEGIS MEDIA CARAT SEAN O'BRIEN
Regional – Carat Asia Pacific has appointed Sean O’Brien as its CEO with immediate effect.
O'Brien will manage over 1,900 staff in 35 offices across 15 countries in Asia Pacific, and will report directly to Nick Waters, CEO of Aegis Media APAC.
Prior to his appointment, O'Brien (pictured) was the chief client officer of Aegis Media, holding the responsibility for new business development across Asia Pacific.
He has developed in-depth client servicing capabilities to drive further growth to Aegis's multinational clients in the region, including Nokia, Adidas, Philips, Beiersdorf and Fox.
O'Brien has also steered growth across Carat's international business, winning regional clients like Expedia, Air Asia and Clarins for the agency.
He was involved in the expansion of the agency's Consumer Connection Study across 12 countries in the region and launched Aevolve, a specialist business providing analytics, econometrics and research to clients.
"Since joining Aegis Media, he has brought great focus to our multinational clients and contributed significantly to our new business success. Carat has good momentum in Asia Pacific and will build on that under Sean's leadership," Waters said.
In the last 15 months, Aegis Media has made four regional agency leadership appointments, including the appointment of Seth Grossman as the CEO of Vizeum Asia Pacific.
In 2010, Jean Lin was handed the title of CEO of Isobar Asia Pacific, adding on to her role as global chief strategy officer and Ruth Stubbs was appointed as regional president in Asia Pacific for Aegis's search marketing agency iProspect.
