Creative rollercoaster at McCann and JWT

Hong Kong - McCann Erickson Guangming has hired JWT creative Philip Lee as creative director, with JWT appointing Alvin Lin to replace Lee's role.

Philip Lee will be responsible for new business as well as assist in implementing integrated marketing communications for new accounts.

Based in the Hong Kong office, he reports to Spencer Wong, MD for McCann Erickson Hong Kong and ECD and VP for China.

Lee was previously creative director at JWT Hong Kong where he worked on the Nike and HSBC accounts for more than two years. Prior to JWT, he was associate CD at Ogilvy and Mather working on Brands Chicken Essence and Langham Place.

Meanwhile JWT Hong Kong has hired TBWA\Hakuhodo Guangzhou creative director Alvin Lin to replace Lee the agency's creative director.

Lin will oversees the HSBC and Rolex accounts.

"I joined JWT with a strong intention to improve the standard of creativity and art direction in the company and my respective accounts.TBWA Hakuhodo is a great company in China, but I see my relevance more in this new company. And it's very much what I want to do," Lin said.

Lin joined TBWA\Hakuhodo in March this year where he worked on the Nissan and Belle International accounts.

Prior to TBWA, he was associate CD at Asatsu-DK Hong Kong. He worked for the Asatsu-DK Group for more than two years including in the Singapore and Asia offices. In his time at Asatsu-DK he worked on campaigns for Hitachi, Nikon Coolpix, Fuji Xerox and Bridgestone.
