3M has IT answer to manufacturing
3M ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING IT SOLUTIONS
Global - 3M has launched a comprehensive 3M Static Management Program to improve product quality and production yields for electronic manufacturers.
The programme offers a full complement of product, software and service solutions, giving customers the tools and training necessary to support an effective EOS/ESD control programme. It also helps them comply with ANSI/ESD S20.20.
In its media statement, 3M says the programme also allows companies to monitor production environments in real-time, ensuring products and reputations are protected.
Matt Bosway, business manager at 3M Electronic Solutions Division of the Static Control Business sector, said the programme provides process savings, quality improvements and higher yields.
"The real game-changer is the ability to continuously monitor all areas of the production environment for causes and evidence of EOS/ESD. Our customers can now monitor whether their products and devices are being properly protected at all stages of the manufacturing process," he said.
The 3M Static Management Program will be launched in Singapore for customers in the second quarter of 2012, a 3M spokesperson told ProcurementAsia.
"The programme represents a new business model for us in Static Control solutions and is definitely a way for us to provide added value to our customers, and grow our business in this area."
