BBDO appoints new regional group account director
Sarah Maclean (pictured) has been appointed the role of regional group account Director. She will be managing the ExxonMobil business across the region. Maclean brings her experience from BBDO Beijing, where she managed the transition process for a number of recently acquired Mars brands. She was responsible for Snickers and M&Ms, in a market where Mars leads the field. Maclean has also previously worked for Ogilvy Singapore at their Centre of the Advertising Discipline and with Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand.
Park Hotel Group appoints CEO
Park Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Allen Law as chief executive officer. As the CEO, Law will oversee the performance of the Park Hotel Group and its eight hotels in Asia Pacific. He will also further develop the Group's presence in the worldwide hospitality industry by enhancing its management business and actively seeking acquisitions and development opportunities.
Porter joins Maxus as regional trading head
Simon Porter has recently joined Maxus as Asia Pacific head of trading. Prior to the shift, Porter was AV trading director as UK media independent Walker Media. According to Maxus' Asia Pacific CEO Neil Stewart many of the agency's key clients are banking on increasing the support to continue maximising the value out of their investments. Porter will be based in Hong Kong and will be reporting to Neil Stewart and Andrew Meaden, GroupM Asia Pacific trading director.
People ‘n Rich expands management team
People ‘n Rich Group has appointed Lynda Lee as media director and Norfaizah Marzuki as account director. Lee, who has worked on key accounts including Alliance Bank, Naza-Kia, Caltex, L'Oreal and others previously held senior executive positions in MPG, Starcom Mediavest, Optimedia, and MediaEdge:CIA. Joining with over 15 years of experience, Marzuki has worked with clients like P&G, CIMB, McDonald's, Telekom Malaysia, Fonterra, S C Johnson, and Hong Kong Tourist Board.
Centrum flutters onto smartphone app
Vitamin supplement brand Centrum has launched an interactive campaign via iButterfly app to engage with its consumers to turn lapsed users into habitual users. With seven butterflies in total, it hopes to catch its target audience in a fun way to highlight product features, brand messages and games to encourage them to share with their friends.
Ratnakar heads UM's Insights and Analytics division
UM Malaysia has appointed Ratnakar Mani as head of insights and analytics. In his new role, he will lead UM's Research and Analytics driven communication strategic services within the agency and provide thought leadership on marketing communications solutions to key clients including Telekom Malaysia, KFC, Proton, Johnson & Johnson, Dutch Lady, RHB Bank, Cerebos and Microsoft. Prior to UM, he was project director for TNS India where he catered to custom research requirements of the agency's key consumer packaged goods (CPG) clients.
