Google creates SE Asia head of communications role

Singapore - Dickson Seow has been named head of communications SE Asia for Google, based in the Singapore office and reporting directly to HK based, John Pinette who is Google's director of Asia Pacific corporate communications.

Seow was previously senior manager of Asia Pacific corporate communications for semiconductor company, Xilinx where his job scope involved integrated communications duties. In his new role at Google, Seow will mainly be responsible for public relations but will work closely with Google product marketing manager, Derek Callow. Seow joined Google in August.

"It's been great so far, and we have big plans for SE Asia and we want to build the brand up and raise awareness that Google is more than just search," Seow said.
