Visa and Discovery unveil Chinese film talent
In April this year, six Chinese filmmakers were chosen to produce a series of five-minute short films with the theme "The Unexpected", shot in six former Olympic host cities - Rome, Seoul, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Tokyo (pictured), and Sydney.
The Visa-sponsored program launched in Beijing yesterday and will air on the Discovery Travel & Living channel from 27 September to 1 November.
"The ‘Visa-Discovery Unexpected Short Films Series' aims to show people discovering the world from a Chinese perspective, while at the same time providing an opportunity for the world to discover China," Li Sheng, Visa China vice president & head of marketing, said.
"We want to capture the entire range of emotions and sense of pride that people feel when they live in an Olympic host city."
