Asia Pacific - BBC World has launched an on-air function to allowing viewers to localise content advertisers to tap into branding and sponsorship opportunities for trails, weather, economic market updates and regionalised time checks.

After conducting a research on its present look, it realised that its subscribers found the interface complicated and confusing. Taking the feedback into consideration, it has resurfaced with a revamped look and feel. New features include full frame promotions with localised transmission times, regionalised weather updates and a 'next and later' navigation tool.

Neil Caldicott, head of presentation for BBC World said the new ‘dynamic junctions' offering viewers targeted information relevant to their time zone.

"Correspondent pieces from around the world and key programme clips from within the schedule will be given greater emphasis, coupled with viewer navigation to items coming up on the BBC World schedule - providing the news, business and weather information, plus time check for cities around the world," he said.

The ‘dynamic junctions' are created by Red Bee Media in conjunction with Pixel Power.
