CI remembers ‘The Murder of Canny Ong'
Malaysia - AETN All Asia Network's Crime and Investigation Network (CI) has launched a cross-platform safety awareness campaign for its latest programme ‘The Murder of Canny Ong'.
The program revisits the controversial murder in 2003 of Malaysia IT analyst Canny Ong Lay Kian who was kidnapped from a local shopping mall and later found dead by the police.
In line with the programme's promotions, the network has also tied up with local women's rights group The All Women's Action Society (AWAM), Prince Court Medical Centre and 1 Utama shopping center to host a one-day Crime Prevention Workshop titled "Be Alert and Aware This Festive Season".
The campaign is aimed at creating awareness and getting the public to work together towards a safer community. As part of this, the network will also be supporting AWAM's Sexual Harassment Out (SHout) campaign on its CI platformsApart from on ground events, print ads promoting its programmes have been running on The Star and Harian Metro as well as a TVC on Astro channel and its website.
