BBDO gets global $200 million Monster business
The Singapore, Hong Kong and India incumbent for the business is JWT, according to the agency's CD, Ali Shabaz but he too was unable to comment on regional implications at this early stage.
"We have chosen BBDO to partner with us in creating a consistent and powerful global brand message, while also coordinating our advertising investments. The new agency team is moving forward aggressively to develop our advertising and branding initiatives for the critical job search season that will begin with the new year," Sal Iannuzzi, chairman and CEO for Monster Worldwide said in a statement.
According to Iannuzzi, the company will now look for a consistent approach to advertising and promotion across all businesses and regions while attempting to strengthen the Monster brand further. In late August it was widely reported by the global press that Monster.com users were being hit with a Trojan virus that crippled PCs and stole personal data - holding it to ransom.
