ABN AMRO sponsors the Elephant Parade
Singapore - ABN AMRO Private Banking has signed up as presenting sponsor for the Elephant Parade, an initiative aimed at raising awareness for the prevention of the extinction of the Asian elephant.
The bank has also run an advertising campaign on its sponsorship, created by Formul8. A series of ads have run to highlight the bank's sponsorships, running in on print from Nov 2011 to Jan 2012 in titles such as Singapore Tatler, Forbes Magazine and The Edge.
Hugues Delcourt, country executive, ABN AMRO Singapore and CEO, Private Banking Asia said: "The aims and objectives of this arts and charity project resonate very well with the values of the Bank and what we stand for, which is pride in our heritage and culture and preserving with care what is precious for the future of our children and generations to come."
The parade involves celebrities such as Rupert Grint, Ricky Gervais, Leona Lewis, Solange Azagury-Patridge, Joss Stone, Paul Smith, Karim Rashid, Sabine Roemer, Ronald Ventura, Ben Cabrera, Jalaini Abu Hassan, Gaurav Kripalani, Dick Lee and Glen Goei. Other partners for the event are Singapore Zoo, Tangs and VivoCity.
The Elephant Parade is the largest open air art exhibition worldwide in preservation of the Asian elephant.
Over a period of several months, hundreds of brightly painted life size art elephants will swarm the streets of the city the Parade involves. Each is painted by local and international artists. After the exhibition, all elephants are auctioned by a professional auctioneer. Part of all benefits from Elephant Parade will be donated to The Asian Elephant Foundation.
