Singapore - ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) has secured a four year contract for the rights to broadcast Cricket Australia's (CA) domestic and home international matches - ESS can broadcast the content across various platforms like TV, internet, mobile and radio covering Asia.
"We have shared a very fruitful relationship with Cricket Australia for over a decade and are delighted to continue this partnership. Australian Cricket is extremely popular across Asia with many of the players being household names in the region," Manu Sawhney, EVP of Programming & Marketing for ESS said.
The news comes on the back of several cricket related developments for ESS, having recently launched a dedicated cricket channel called STAR Cricket and renewing its broadcast partnership with the England and Wales Cricket Board for the next five years - late last year, ESS was awarded the exclusive global telecast rights by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for all ICC events till 2015.
