Singapore - Publicis former head of business development Christina Lim joined NTUC Fairprice as deputy director of retail marketing last Friday, tasked with responsibilities such as corporate communications and targeting the masses to bring them in-store.
Lim sits in a newly created position following NTUC's restructuring. Her job scope will require her to integrate with corporate communication as well as brand communication. Her last 4 1/2 years were with Publicis and she cites the need for change and excitement as well as the predictability of agency life after years within the same domain, as the main reasons for her departure.
"I hope to be able to contribute to the growth of the company and bring a fresh perspective with my marketing experience as there is potential in this business. I am glad the management is open to new ideas."
At Publicis, she was involved in pitches and handled accounts such as Aviva, HP, Western Union and also was team leader for the " Four Million Smiles" campaign 2006 when the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group meetings were held locally.
Her previous agencies include D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles and TBWA. She reports directly to the director of integrated purchasing Tng Ah Yiam.
