Convertium signed on for Singapore Design Festival job
Four agencies pitched for the project that will also include assisting with reaching and cultivating the international design committee online. Convertium is a local independent interactive agency and its MD, Gerard Lim said that "winning the Singapore Design Festival web project was one of our priorities for the year".
The Singapore Design Festival debuted in 2005 as a biennial event to celebrate and promote design as a propeller of the new economy. Organisers, The DesignSingapore Council, are made up of leaders and individuals from the various industry stakeholders, the design community and government, serving the national design agenda and coordinate the implementation of the initiative. It is a department of MICA.
"Being design practitioners ourselves, we are very eager to be part of Singapore's on-going efforts to support and promote our country's diverse design expertise. Our work with the DesignSingapore Council will also allow us to be exposed to best practices and talents from many design disciplines," Lim said.
First pieces of online work will roll out from September 2007, all the way to the festival itself in December that year.
