Singapore - Chief marketing and customer officer of the consumer banking division for Standard Chartered Bank Singapore, Gail Galuppo will leave the company on 7 September to take up a global marketing position at Western Union, reporting to its president and CEO, Christina Gold.

As EVP and CMO for Western Union, Galuppo will relocate back to the United States, which she says is part of the reason for the job change, commenting that "of course Western Union is a great company" but the main reason for the switch was "because my contract was expiring and I wanted to move back to the States and this is a global position overseeing marketing and sales".

Galuppo will start work at Western Union on 10 September and she was at Standard Chartered for two years. Among other things she currently oversees customer marketing strategy, advertising and branding.

"I just love working with the folks here in Asia, and my new position will allow me the opportunity to continue to understand the Singapore consumer," she said.
