Hong Kong - Universal McCann has nabbed ex-Yahoo Hong Kong's sales manager Anna Chan as head of search for Asia Pacific, responsible for overseeing the development and effectiveness of the agency's search activities for clients, specifically driving optimisation of campaigns in digital platforms.
In her newly created role, Chan will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Adrian Toy, Universal McCann's regional interactive director.
"Anna's professional background in leading search initiatives for Yahoo makes her the right candidate for this key role. She has managed the broad spectrum of client budgets in online and her experience reflects the reality and flexibility of the agency environment," Toy said.
Prior to Universal McCann, Chan was sales manager for Yahoo Hong Kong managing the company's client portfolios and business teams. She has also specialised in implementing search marketing campaigns, return on investment and cost-per-acquisition goals and data, as well as website architecture.
