Boatman exits Microsoft, sets up own company

Singapore - Microsoft SE Asia group marketing manager Tony Boatman has left to set up his own marketing services firm called TD Boatman & Associates - Alan Chou replaces him as regional marketing manager for Entertainment & Devices Division, Microsoft.

The integrated marketing services firm merges four existing businesses under one umbrella to create a virtual marketing services platform - each company continues to service clients independently but comes together to deliver large projects. The team currently totals 53 marketing professionals.

Boatman was with Microsoft for more than two years where he was tasked with tasked with developing and implementing the division's marketing plans across the region - he oversaw the marketing communications, product marketing, channel marketing, interactive and public relations disciplines at Microsoft and was responsible for launching Xbox 360, Windows Vista and Microsoft Office across SE Asia.

Before Microsoft, Boatman was regional marketing director for Nokia Mobile Phones for six years. His replacement at Microsoft, Chou, is tasked with developing and implementing the division's marketing plans for the Xbox and PC Game portfolios across the South Asia region.
