Singapore - Audi Singapore is assuming control of its importer function from Premium Automobiles in order to reach its objective of becoming an international premium brand by 2015 - Premium Automobiles used to hold both import and dealership tasks.
With this change, Audi Singapore has been selected as a regional focal point and will become a National Sales Company, taking over all import functions from October. The company has plans to start a flagship operation locally as part of Audi's global marketing and branding efforts.
"With the shift in business structure, Audi customers can expect greater direct involvement with the brand in after-sales service and improved support in sales and marketing initiatives," Reinhold Carl, MD, Audi Singapore said.
"We are making a stronger commitment in Singapore as the market will form a strategic component in our forward planning in this region. With its growing consumer sophistication and demand for luxury cars, Singapore is an essential bridge between two key markets for us India and China."
The changes will have no impact on local ad agency Formul8, which is the agency of record for Audi's dealer, Premium Automobiles.
