Singapore - David Sulzmann, VP brand solutions, pan regional at MTV Networks Asia has resigned from the company, following the news of Chris Steward, EVP for VBS and SE Asia's departure in June.
MTV's director of communications Mok Ho Yan confirmed the news and said Sulzmann left the company for "personal reasons". The network is currently conducting a search to find a replacement for Sulzmann, who is currently on leave and could not be reached for comment. Mok also told Marketing that with the current management changes in place, Steward's position will not be filled.
Sulzmann joined MTV in late March last year as the network's VP for pan regional advertising sales where he was tasked with driving ad sales across the region, increasing brand categories for the channel and leading the MTV sales team. Last December, the network announced it was installing a new management team for its regional Viacom Brand Solutions department - Sulzmann, who had taken on his current role of VP brand solutions, was one of the senior MTV staffers sitting on the team.
He was previously VP of advertising sales at Star TV where he managed the regional (Singapore) sales office and was responsible for the sales strategy, and was also sales director at location media network company Pioneer Media.
