CommsDNA rejigs, focuses on Malaysian ops
COMMUNICATIONS DNA ACCOUNT WINS EXPANSION
Regional - Singapore-based Communications DNA has announced several new retainer accounts and projects and made further inroads into the Malaysian market along with a change in management.
Monica Alsagoff, former director and shareholder of Communications DNA has officially left the company.
The agency is now headed by Leela Schellenberger, who has been managing director since January 2010, and is steering the agency towards integrated marketing, corporate and consumer/lifestyle accounts.
P N Balji and David See, together with Schellenberger, are now the shareholders of the agency.
The agency's new accounts are Carlsberg Singapore, Chaswood Resources Sdn Bhd, Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Singapore, and The Stable-MMA.
Winning ChasWood Resources, marks an extension of the agency's relationship with the company which kicked off with a previous campaign for brands under the Malaysia-based group, namely TGI Friday's and Italiannies.
Communications DNA now handles a large portfolio of the Chaswood F&B brands in Malaysia; this includes branding, strategic marketing, and generating publicity for newly-opened concept restaurant Market Hall in KL and other upcoming restaurants.
"With CommsDNA now operating in Malaysia, our growth strategy is based on furthering regional reach and catering to a more dynamic, cross-cultural portfolio of brands and clients," said Schellenberger.
The Carlsberg Singapore account will see the agency handling all PR and strategic activities related to Carlsberg and its portfolio of brands, such as Kronenbourg 1664, Blanc 1664, Corona, and SKOL.
The Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Singapore account was awarded to the agency with the purpose of generating and sustaining publicity for an upcoming campaign, while The-Stable MMA gives the agency the responsibility of launching a new Mixed Martial Arts academy in Singapore supported by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu legend, Ralph Gracie.
"We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead, with new challenges that will call for integration of communications at various levels to maximise reach and visibility for our clients," said Schellenberger.
