StarHub kicks off EPL’s August season with ‘Football Channel’

Singapore - StarHub announced it will launch a new sports channel - ‘Football Channel' with 24-hour Premier League programming, in anticipation of the English Premiere League (EPL) season, starting August.

Football Channel, packaged fully by Hong Kong's Goal TV in partnership with Dubai-based Ten Sports will produce the channel's League highlights, studio previews and match summary shows. ‘Live' Premier League matches and magazine programmes on Football Channel will be produced by TWI - the official producer and distributor of FA Premier League's international coverage.

"The Barclays Premier League is the most popular league in the world and in Singapore. We are glad to develop Football Channel in partnership with Goal TV and Ten Sports - two established sports media companies that provide football programming to a combined audience of over 100 million. We are confident that Premier League buffs in Singapore will enjoy what Football Channel has to offer," Tham Loke Kheng, senior vice president, content and marketing at StarHub said.

Football Channel will be available to all StarHub Digital Cable's sports group customers and also to its Digital Terrestrial Television (DTTV) customers.
