China - Ogilvy China announced the promotion of two senior executives - Joseph Wang as vice chairman for Greater China, and Shenan Chuang as CEO, Ogilvy China and president of O&M Advertising, China. They officially assume their positions on 24 July.
In his new role, Wang will oversee the integration and management of recently acquired Ogilvy companies, while strengthening Ogilvy's network within the Greater China areas. Wang, who was previously chairman and CEO of Shanghai and Southern China, will retain his client management role with selected senior clients.
Chuang, previously Ogilvy's chairperson and CEO for Northern China, will be responsible for managing and delivering Ogilvy's next 5 year plan across China. In addition, Chuang will also be responsible for integrating O&M Advertising and its Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou offices to forge mutual support.
"Our strategic focus is aimed at both enhancing our integration and continuing to upgrade our offering. These promotions recognise Joseph Wang's and Shenan Chuang's extensive experience in their respective fields. Their new roles will help raise Ogilvy China to an even higher level," TB Song, chairman, Ogilvy Greater China said.
