JWT hires head of art

Singapore - JWT has appointed Thomas Yang as Head of Art, where he will be responsible for overseeing the art division of the creative department. He will work jointly with recently promoted JWT Head of Copy Joji Jocob.

"Besides other accounts, I currently handle the HSBC, Samsung and Unilever businesses," said Yang. "A challenge would include continuing to win new business and of course advertising awards, which are equally important."

"They are both extremely talented individuals who have a proven track record of award winning work and, now together, I'm sure they will continue to raise the bar across all our clients who are looking for work that excites them," said Tay Guan Hin, Regional Executive Creative Director, SE Asia, JWT of Jocob and Yang.

Yang reports to Tay as well as Joseph Tay, Creative Director at JWT. Prior to his appointment, Yang was Head of Art/Creative Group Head at M&C Saatchi Singapore and Associate Creative Director at 10AM Communications.

To date, JWT has hired ex-BBDO staffer Ali Shabaz as Associate Creative Director and named Angus Fraser as Managing Director to replace Elaine Low.
