DDB nets M&C Saatchi GM

Singapore - DDB Singapore has appointed ex-M&C Saatchi staffer Shirley Yeo as its new General Manager in a bid to beef up its senior management team. Yeo, who also worked as General Manager at M&C, was officially appointed on July 10 and reports to President and CEO, David Tang.

"Shirley's a smart entrepreneur with drive, initiative and an exceptional focus on execution -- plus, she has the personal character and temperament to be passionate but ‘nice'," said Tang.

Yeo is responsible for managing EFFIE award-winning client UOB and continuing the agency's charge to "build the most promising brands in Singapore". "Change gives you new energy, and I hope to channel that energy to help both DDB and our clients build their businesses," she said.

One of the founding members of M&C Saatchi Singapore having worked there for nine years, Yeo has also done time at Saatchi & Saatchi and JWT. Her portfolio includes clients such as Standard Chartered, DBS, Metro, Lam Soon, Kao and STB.
