Tequila best in Singapore at PMAA 05

Singapore - Tequila Singapore picked up a Best in Singapore, four Gold, one Silver and three Bronze awards at the recent Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia (PMAA) 2005, making it the most highly awarded Singaporean agency at the event. The Best in Singapore award was clinched for a DM execution for ESPN tagged ‘Never Underestimate the Power of Sport' and comprising a live-sized couch delivered to key business partners and clients.

"ESPN is the poster child for the disruptive creative work that comes out of the agency and our creative team managed to deliver the message with impact -- it's great to see our efforts rewarded with such a prestigious award," said Divya Dana, Account Director at Tequila, who attributed the wins to "an unflinching belief in our creativity and "a crazy drive to make things happen."  

Bates Asia and 141 Worldwide as a team came in second in Singapore with two Golds, three Silvers and one Bronze, and more importantly won a total of 14 awards for work across China, Singapore, Japan, Philippines and Indochina.

Matthew Godfrey, COO at 141 Asia attributed his agency's success to the shop's "refreshed focus on Behaviour Transformation, which brings brands to life at the decision-making moment so the right consumers get the right experience at the right moment to positively influence their purchase behaviour".

The Best in Asia award went to the Toss Ka Boss campaign for Pepsi India, which also bagged ‘Best Multi-Disciplined Campaign', ‘Best Sponsorship Tie-in Campaign' and ‘Best in India'. This campaign, together with all Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will represent Asia in the Marketing Agencies Worldwide Globes Programme against the top promotion marketing campaigns from the US, UK, Canada, South America, Europe and Australia.
