National - Mindshare China has hired ex-OMD UK TV buying and business director Andrew Carter as its new national tactical planning director responsible for managing all the tactical planning teams in China.
Based in Shanghai, he replaces Bharadwaj Ramesh who is relocating to Mindshare Singapore for a newly created regional role and reports to Andrew Meaden, managing partner for Mindshare China.
"Andrew will be a very strong replacement for Bharad, bringing great experience and learning to our tactical planning teams and enhancing our buying product for clients in China," Meaden said.
In Carter's previous role at OMD, he handled clients such as Camelot and Aviva.
In other news, Kangnai Shoes has appointed Mindshare Shanghai as its media agency with annual media billing for the Chinese shoe company believed to be worth 30 million RMB (HK$31million).
The first time working with a media agency the Wenzhou based brand aims to become the leading shoe brand in China as well as build up its brand image internationally.
