Singapore - Nokia is sponsoring a new category -- titled Run Your Own Nokia Shop --within the Start-Up@Singapore National Business Plan Competition and Enterprise Launcher to discover enterprising polytechnic students or undergraduates who, as a prize, will be given a chance to start an actual Nokia shop in a university campus.

Besides the offer to jointly set up a physical Nokia shop on campus with a Nokia appointed trade partner and manage shop operations for six months, the winning team will also receive $10,000 in prize money as well as $15,000 seed money for marketing, promotions and retail shop renovation purposes.

Jointly organised by the NUS Entrepreneurship Centre, the Business School Alumni Association and the NUS Entrepreneurship Society to help aspiring entrepreneurs, Start-Up@Singapore has seen more than 12,800 contestants and 845 teams in participation and over 40 start-ups spun off since the competition's inception in 1999.
