Singapore - Business news channel CNBC is launching CNBC Tonight -- a new weekday primetime programme that wraps up the business day in Asia and provides a preview to the next day's headlines -- in mid-February. The two-hour programme will feature Asian and global news headlines, corporate news and personal finance as well as lifestyle features on travel, health, food and leisure.

"Viewer feedback is that they'd like an evening show giving them all the Asian business news of the day and a look ahead," said Cynthia Owens, Senior VP for News Programming, CNBC Asia Pacific, adding that CNBC Tonight would offer viewers "unrivalled coverage of the region and the world, and serve the best of technology news as well as lifestyle features".

Segments in the programme will include ‘Top News at the Top of the Hour' with worldwide headlines that impact Asia, emerging trends and the "big names" behind technology headlines and ‘Asian Wall Street Journal', a segment featuring analyses from the programme's print affiliate on business and political news.

CNBC Tonight will be hosted by May Lee and Teymoor Nabili.
