Yahoo Hong Kong takes search outdoors

Hong Kong - Yahoo Hong Kong has extended its online campaign by partnering with JM Network to launch Yahoo search on an interactive promotional outdoor platform targeting affluent information seekers.

The outdoor campaign at CommonSpace in Causeway Bay, which started late last week and will run for two weeks, features a violet exterior with mega-size touch screens inside the shop to generate favourable recall of Yahoo's brand identity as well as make online search an enjoyable experience for visitors.

"Commonspace is a choice for unconventional advertising, we believe we can positively extend our brand and create an enjoyable search experience for our consumers at CommonSpace," Pauline Wong, director, marketing and communications for Yahoo! Hong Kong said.

Christy Poon, business development manager for JM Network said Yahoo Hong Kong has partnered with them to launch its brand building campaign as the search engine firm is "attracted by the prime location and interactive marketing solution of CommonSpace".

"In addition, it is a breakthrough of advertising media to synergize the outdoor and online media power and create a two-way communication solution for advertising industry," Poon said.
